With the 2024 US presidential election fast approaching, Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) co-founders Mark Andreessen and Ben Horowitz have officially announced their support of Donald Trump. Indeed, the heads of the venture capital firm have endorsed the 45th president’s return to office.
The founders stated the decision was based on how Trump’s victory will impact both crypto and AI policy. Both Andreessen and Horowitz announced their decision on the firm’s The Little Tech Agenda podcast. The episode saw the two discuss the election battle between Biden and Trump.

Andreessen Horowitz Officially Endorses Donald Trump
The crypto market is taking center stage in the ongoing presidential election. Both Biden and Trump are clearly stating where they stand in regard to the market. Moreover, the latter has proven to be far more engaged in the continued development of the industry in the US.
That has led to one major endorsement for the candidate. Speaking on a podcast, both a16z co-founders announced that they are supporting Donald Trump in 2024. They discussed his policies and their potential effect on crypto and other tech sectors.

“The future of our business, the future of technology, new technology, and the future of America is literally at stake,” Horowitz said. “I wish we didn’t have to pick a side,” he added. Moreover, he noted that he had voted Democrat for most of his life. Thus, further acknowledging the impact his endorsement could have.
Andressen noted he supports Trump due to his pledge for crypto. Specifically, he believes the candidate is set to “end the unlawful and un-American crypto crackdown.” Moreover, he called their decision “a flat-out blanket endorsement of the entire space.”
Trump has firmly established himself as a pro-crypto candidate. That has led to some increased support from market participants. The Wall Street Journal reported that he has already received more than $3 million in crypto donations.
